I love you...I love you not...

Let me start off by saying that this is not my collage, each of those roses are individual, and were originally supposed to be my collage but I didn't want to sacrifice them so I saved them.  Now that that has been established, onto the project itself.  We were asked to carve out a stamp design from this block, and I decided to cut out a rose.  (this is going to be confusing so bear with me) Originally where you see the color it would have been all black, and where the lines are would have been white.  But then I decided to totally carve out the rose, which is how I got the prints above.  On each paper I painted different shades of the same color, waited for the paper to dry and then I put black ink on my stamp and ran them through the press, and got these :)  I am so proud of them!!!

Read Between the Lines

For this project we were asked to take four old book pages and transform them by making artwork and only keeping a few words on the page.  I pasted the flimsy pages to larger thicker paper and then started painting :)  Don't ask me why I painted what I did because the pictures have nothing to do with the words! My favorite is the bottom right because it is really colorful and sharp so it catches your eye. Let me know what you think!!!!

Dream House...If you wanted to live secluded in the Forest :P

For this project we were asked to create a two point perspective house with a color scheme.  The color scheme choice was the hardest for me, but in the end I'm happy with my choice of cool colors.  I love nature so I incorporated purple mountains, a trellis with flowers, a river with stepping stones, and the perfect willow tree.  I attempted to make this painting as perfect as possible but in the end I was rushed with time so it's sloppier than I would like.  My favorite part about my painting would have to be the moss covered roof, or the movement I created in the water!  I hope you like it!
